Rachakonda: In an effort to root out organized Human trafficking networks in Commissionerate and to create a sense of safety and security among the family system, College going students, and youth not to fall into trafficking network, C.P. Rachakonda invoked the PD Act against one habitual Inter-state human trafficking offender, who was indulging in an organized online prostitution racket in the limits of Nacharam Police Station and detained him in Central Prison, Cherlapally on 02-10-2021.
The accused Mozam Mondal alias Mozam, who is the kingpin of this human trafficking for the sake of prostitution, hailed from West Bengal State. He procures victim girls/women from one Litton Sarkar alias Narayana Sarkar, a Bangladesh national and running brothel house and online prostitution with said girls in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate, Cyberabad, and Hyderabad City. He is having Phone Pay, Google Pay accounts and accepts e-wallet payments from the customers. Thus, he is trafficking innocent girls, exploiting them, and running prostitution with them.
With a view to curb his activities, in December 2020 an order of detention has been made against him under PD Act and detained him in Central Prison Cherlapally on 15 12-2020. Subsequently, he moved to the Hon’ble High Court, and on the consequence of setting aside the detention order, he came out of jail in April 2021, and immediately after his release, he again resorted to indulging in similar activities and started running online prostitution within the limits of Nacharam Police Station. He posts girls’ photos and phone numbers in Locanto App and attracting male customers in the City.
The racket was busted through a joint decoy operation and acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Human Trafficking Team of Rachakonda along with Police Nacharam laid a trap and arrested the accused Mozam Mondal alias Mozam, 30 years on 30-08-2021 and rescued West Bengal origin victim girl and admitted her in rescue home through Hon’ble Court for proper counseling and take care till her departure to their home town. He was remanded to judicial custody and subsequently, he was released on bail.
With a view to prevent him from indulging in human trafficking for the sake of prostitution and to preserve public order, Mr. Mahesh M. Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda again invoked PD Act against the offender Mozam Mondal alias Mozam and detained him in Central Prison, Cherlapally on 02-10-2021.
