Gwalior: On the instructions of the Superintendent of Police, Gwalior Mr. Amit Sanghi IPS, continuous action has been taken against those who trade illegal drugs in the district and for speedy action on drug mafia, information is being received continuously on the helpline number 7587613724 of Gwalior Police. Under this campaign, Additional Superintendent of Police, City (West/Crime) Mr. Satendra Singh Tomar IPS has directed all the station in-charges subordinate to him to take action against those who trade illegal drugs in his area. Action is being taken continuously by the Anti-Drug Team of Crime Branch Gwalior against the miscreants who are smuggling illegal drugs.
In accordance with the instructions given by the senior officers, while working under the guidance of Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Mr. Ratnesh Tomar IPS and Mr. Vijay Bhadauria IPS, information was received from the informer on October 21 that a person was trying to smuggle smack in Indramani Nagar near Mela Ground, Boundary.
Taking immediate action on the information, the police station in charge of Crime Branch Inspector Mr. Damodar Gupta sent the team of Crime Branch under the leadership of Sub-Inspector Mr. Rajeev Virthare to Mela Ground, Boundary near Indramani Nagar, at the place mentioned by the informer.
The police team saw a suspicious person standing at the place indicated by the informer, who on seeing the police team started to try to escape, but was caught by the police team. On search of the arrested suspect, a total of 28 grams of smack worth about two lakh 80 thousand rupees was found from his pocket, which was duly confiscated. A crime was registered against the caught accused under the NDPS Act in the police station, Crime Branch, Gwalior.
