Hyderabad: On 21-10-2021 Hon’ble Special Judge for POCSO Court cum I Additional MSJ at Nampally, Hyderabad pronounced the Judgment in Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act-2021 of Kanchan Bagh Police Station, Hyderabad. In this case, the accused Mohammed Khaleel(39) was convicted to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for life which shall mean imprisonment for the remainder of the natural life of that person and to pay a fine of Rs.26,000/-.
The accused Mohd. Khaleel is none other than the stepfather of the minor victim girl. He sedated the victim for the past 3 years and was threatening to kill her and used to rape her and lock her in the house. As a result, she become pregnant at the age of 14 years and her mother came to know about the pregnancy and tried to abort the child. However, a boy was born on 16.01.2019. Her mother told her to keep quiet. Her mother told in the locality that the victim was married to someone from Gulf and give birth to a baby. After giving birth to a child also the victim became pregnant twice and the accused gave pills to her for abortion. For the past 3 years, the accused was committing rape on the minor victim. Finally, the victim revealed the facts to her brother who lodged a complaint at Police station Kanchan Bagh. On that Police, Kanchan Bagh registered a case of POCSO ACT on 09-03-2021.
The case was investigated by ACP Santhosh Nagar and the Charge sheet was filed within a stipulated time. The case was tried in the Hon’ble Special Judge for POCSO Act cases cum I Additional MSJ at Nampally, Hyderabad. During the trial Mr. K. Durgaji, Addl. Public Prosecutor, attended the court from the prosecution side. SHO Kanchan Bagh Mr. J.Venkat Reddy and CDO HC Mr. M. Kondal Reddy followed up the case and the case was ended in Conviction.
