Indore: Police Commissioner Urban Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra has directed Indore Police to track property related crimes, snatching and robbery related crimes in Indore Commissionerate. In line with these instructions, under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr. Rajesh Hingankar, the Crime Branch team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Mr. Nimish Agarwal and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Mr. Guru Prasad Parashar achieved success in catching two vicious snatchers.
The team of Crime Branch Indore had received information from the informer that two persons are in search of a customer to sell the stolen mangalsutra at cheap price. On information, Crime Branch and Police Station Juni Indore took joint action and caught two persons from the place mentioned by the informer.
On asking the names of the arrested persons, they told their names Aditya alias Tanna son of Ajay Gogalia age 20 years resident 25 Sector C Raj Nagar Chandan Nagar Indore and Hrithik son of Ajay Chopra age 21 years resident 134 Samajwad Nagar Indore. On searching both the persons, a bag, a gold mangalsutra with a diamond pandal and a cash of thirty thousand rupees were found from them which was duly confiscated.
During interrogation, the accused admitted to carrying out the incident of bag snatching on May 19 from near Sadhu Vaswani Nagar Garden of Juni Indore area by swooping down on the hands of women complainants. The accused have also confessed to causing chain and other incidents of mobile snatching in the past, in respect of which interrogation is being done.
