Telangana, Peddapalli: Peddapalli DCP in charge Mr. Akhil Mahajan said that “Operation Chabutra” is being carried out for the maintenance of peace and security. ACP Mr. Giri Prasad and CI Mr. Ramesh Babu under Operation Chabutra conducted a midnight operation under Godavarikhani One Town Police Station in Peddapalli district. As part of this, they patrolled the main roads of the city and arrested 45 people who were allegedly roaming the roads at night and shifted them to the police station. The DCP warned that strict action would be taken if they returned unnecessarily on the roads after 10:30 pm. He said the detainees were checked with a mobile fingerprint check device to find out if there were any previous cases or criminal records against them. In-charge DCP Mr. Akhil Mahajan also said that those who were driving on two-wheelers after consuming alcohol in the alley at midnight were taken to the police station and given counseling. Once again he warned that cases would be registered if he intuitively returned outside. Godavarikhani ACP Mr. Giri Prasad along with CI Mr. Ramesh Babu and Town Police personnel were present on the occasion.
