Mizoram: The War on Drugs is on to turn Drug Free Mizoram into a reality. The Police said that together we can and we will achive the goal. Yesterday evening, Champhai Police Station and 8th Assam Rifles team recovered and seized two soap cases containing 25 grams heroin, valued at Rs.12.5 lakhs in the international market from passenger of one Maxi Cab (Zokhawthar to Aizawl service), detained on suspicious ground at the outskirt of Champhai. Owner of the contraband item, Ginsiankhaia (30) s/o Paukhankhupa (L) of Tidim, Myanmar (Present Address – Zuangtui, Aizawl) was arrested. The police team was appreciated for their excellent teamwork in apprehending the accused persons.
