CHENNAI: On Thursday Tamil actor Vishal filed a Police complaint at the Office of the Chennai Police Commissioner here at Vepery against unknown people for allegedly abusing him on phone. It is said that the calls came after a website published an article in which Vishal is falsely quoted to have spoken ill of Tamils. According to V Harikrishnan, a representative of Vishal fan’s association, the report said the content published on the website was wrong and that Vishal had received phone calls after the article appeared. The report further alleged, the article falsely quoted Vishal as saying ‘Tamils were lazy and that the people in the state preferred to line up before Tasmac shops’. Vishal had received several calls from three different numbers in which unidentified mentioned about the content in the article, the complaint alleged. Vishal held Tamils in high regard and that the article was published to deliberately malign his image, the actor sought action against those spreading rumours, the complaint mentioned. ]]>
