Thrissur City: The Thrissur City Police has been honored with the Smart Policing Award 2021 by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industries – FICCI. Thrissur City Police’s Center for Employee Enhancement and Development – CEED was awarded the Special Jury Award. CEED is a system that coordinates the services and pensions of police officers working in Thrissur City Police, the education of police officers’ children, and the welfare of their family members.
City Police Commissioner Mr. Aditya R IPS started this project in January 2020. A scientific study was conducted on its activities in collaboration with Thrissur St. Thomas College Social Work Department. After being convinced that it is beneficial for the police officers and their family members, the state police chief ordered the CEED scheme to be extended to the entire state. A 24-hour office, a dedicated website for police officers and family members to lodge complaints and comments, and prompt resolution of service-related issues are all functions of CEED.
