Villupuram: The owner of Villupuram Senchi Bar is Rajaram alias Mani (40) from Melmalayanur village, who runs a bar in the same area. On the morning of the incident, when Rajaram was going home on a motorcycle from the bar, 2 miscreants on a motorcycle suddenly intercepted Rajaram and slashed his head and hands with a sickle. In this, Rajaram, who was badly injured, ran away from the spot, dripping with blood. Rajaram, who survived by boarding a private bus that came that way, was admitted to Tiruvannamalai Government Hospital for treatment. Doctors are giving him intensive care there.
Based on the complaint, a special team was formed under the leadership of Valati Police Inspector Mr. Suresh Babu and the police searched for the mysterious persons who cut Rajaram with a sickle. Later, when the surveillance camera in the area was examined, the identity of the person was revealed. In this connection Perumal’s son Selvam (30) from Melmalayanur, Gautham (27) son of Narayanan from Puducherry, Bhaskar’s son Mani (28) and a 17 year old boy were arrested and interrogated. In the investigation they admitted that Rajaram was cut due to business rivalry. Subsequently, the police arrested them and are investigating.
