Some persons on Twitter, WhatsApp and other social networking sites are spreading false information through recording and audio on 26.9.22 that no public should go to Coimbatore and people living in Coimbatore are not safe. No public should believe such rumours. In Coimbatore District more than 5000 police personal are engaged in security work.
Coimbatore is completely peaceful and safe. Therefore, it is requested on behalf of the Coimbatore Police Department that the public can go about their daily life without any threat. It is informed that strict legal action will be taken against those who spread rumors on social media in such a way as to threaten the public.
