Karimganj: Yesterday night, Karimganj Police and BSF G branch together recovered 9.46KGs of Heroin from a secret chamber in a truck. The heroin is worth over Rs.75 crores in the open market. This is a fine example of Police work that involves gathering of credible intelligence.
In the 3rd SP Conference at Dergaon, the DGP of Assam Mr. Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta IPS spoke about tightening the noose even further around the drugs business. The DGP said that he is proud of Karimganj police who followed the suggestions of the DGP with one of the biggest drug hauls in Assam. The DGP congratulated the Karimganj police for their achievement.
