VISAKHAPATNAM: The residence and properties of Tahsildar of Bheemili, BTV Rama Rao across the state is being raided by the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday here. ACB officials said, the raids were made on the charges of having amassed properties disproportionate to his known sources of income. Raids are being conducted at four places in Visakhapatnam, one place at Rajahmundry and at two locations at Hyderabad, say officials. Officials added that, teams led by ACB DSP K Ramakrishna Prasad are conducting raids in Visakhapatnam, at the Tahsildar’s house near Chekkudurai building, his in-laws house and also friends’ houses. So far ACB have unearthed around Rs 41 lakh cash, gold, some documents of valuable properties, ACB said. Four lockers at different banks are also yet to be opened by the ACB. The officials said that, raids will continue till evening and more details will emerge by evening. ]]>
