Trivandrum: The Kerala Police said scams under the guise of selling vehicles and goods are rampant on online sites that sell used goods. Not only the buyers but also the sellers are more likely to be cheated if they are not careful. The method of fraud is to deceive those who are tempted by the advertisement of selling expensive goods at a low price and then they do not pay for the goods after buying them, and they ask for money in advance in the name of courier charges. In order to make people believe, they send photos of soldiers and fake Aadhaar card and PAN card through WhatsApp. For this purpose, the photos and others in the advertisement given by the real customers are downloaded and used for this purpose. Therefore, it is reminded that only after confirming the identity of the sellers and buyers, the money transactions should be completed.
