Trivandrum : In the Students Police Cadet State Level Quiz Competition that was held the Kannur Rural Police District captured the first position. Kollam Rural and Wayanad have been ranked second and third respectively. Ms. Devika Karipai, Mr. Anand Krishna and Mr. Charuth (GHSS Malur) participated in the state level quiz competition organized under the auspices of the Students’ Police Cadet Project in Kannur Rural District, and took the first position. Ms. Ananya.J, Mr. Govindand Ms. R. Aparna Rajeev (DVNSS HSS, Poovatoor) were the members of Kollam Rural District who secured the second position. Wayanad district with Mr. Neeraj KJ, Ms. Srilakshmi Ajesh and Ms. Anu Maryam Joseph (Fr. GKMHS, Kaniyaram) bagged the third position.
Minister Mr. V Sivankutty presented the cash awards and certificates. A prize money of Rs.25,000 will be awarded to the team that secured the first place. Rs.15,000 rupees will be awarded for the second place and Rs. 10,000 rupees for the third place. Certificates were also distributed to the children of all 20 districts who participated in the state level competition.1,30,000 people participated in quiz competitions conducted at the school level under the Student Police Cadet Scheme. Out of these 3,300 winners participated in the district level competition.
Out of that 60 winning children are in the preliminary round competition in the state level competition Among those who participated, 18 children selected in the preliminary competition made it to the final round competition. The first, second and third place winners were from those who were selected. The quiz was conducted by Mr. GS Pradeep and Mr Arun Shankar. The State Police Chief Mr. Anil Kant IPS inaugurated the morning quiz program. ADGP Mr. K Padmakumar IPS, IGP Mr. Vijayan IPS, Commissioner of Police Mr. G. Spurjan Kumar IPS, senior police officers, teachers and parents attended the function.
