Bhopal : In the year 2022, the police made their motto “patriotism-public service” meaningful in maintaining peace and law and order in Madhya Pradesh and building trust among the citizens. Where the police showed sensitivity towards the citizens, crimes were curbed. Whether it is a matter of arresting more than 9.5 thousand warrantees in the entire state simultaneously in the combing patrol or showing indomitable courage and achieving extraordinary success in the encounter with the Naxalites, the police proved their efficiency on all fronts. Madhya Pradesh Police strengthened its capabilities at the grassroots level and achieved unprecedented success in solving heinous and serious crimes through technical means. In the year 2023, the functioning of police will be further improved and the efficiency of police officers and employees will be increased.
Peace and law and order maintained in the state : Even when people were imprisoned in their homes during the Covid period all over the world, the Madhya Pradesh Police promptly discharged their duty and played an important role in saving the lives of the citizens. Police officers and employees performed their duty with full promptness and vigilance. After two years, when the opportunity came to celebrate the festivals amicably, the police maintained law and order while respecting public sentiments. Emphasis was placed on creating an institutional mechanism to identify youth affected by radicalism and becoming violent. This is the reason why peace and order was restored in Madhya Pradesh. In the year 2022, the urban body and three-level panchayat elections were held simultaneously, which were completed peacefully.
The fire was not allowed to come on the internal security : The state is an island of peace and to ensure that its internal security does not get affected, action was taken continuously against anti-national forces in Madhya Pradesh. During the anti-Naxal operations conducted in the year 2022, during the last 6 months from June to December, 6 Naxalites with a reward of Rs. 114 lakh were killed. For the first time in the 32 years of Naxal history, such a huge success was achieved in the anti-Naxal campaign. Showing indomitable courage, the security forces killed a Divisional Commander level Maoist for the first time in the Naxal history of the state and seized 2 AK 47s for the first time. Out-of-turn promotions were given to 117 jawans for killing such dreaded Naxalites in the state.
Gudda Gurjar, the last active dacoit of Madhya Pradesh, was arrested in a short encounter with the police.
Madhya Pradesh Police took effective action against banned organizations JMB and PFI.
Social justice and security of all sections of the society remained priority: This marked the sensational and heinous crimes from 1.01.2022 to 30.11.2022. A total of 949 cases were resolved by the honorable court
conviction in 668 cases Life imprisonment to 698 criminals in total 415 cases, death sentence to 3 accused in 3 cases conviction rate 70 Curb on women and child crime. Police has taken concrete steps to control crimes against women and children. Women police stations are operated in all the districts of the state under the policy of zero tolerance. Women Energy Desks were launched in additional 250 Police Stations this year, now 950 Women Energy Desks are functional. Efforts were made for mass awareness through Chetna Abhiyan, Real Hero, Samman Abhiyan. 9413 girls and 2205 boys were registered in the year 2022 up to November through Operation Muskaan and other special efforts for getting social justice. “Witness Protection Scheme” has yielded positive results in preventing atrocities against the underprivileged sections and in creating an atmosphere of social harmony. Due to effective policing, the number of crimes occurring in 906 hot spot areas decreased by 50 percent. As a result of the schemes to be implemented in the year 2022, there was control over the crimes against the SC/ST category.
Quick investigation and action in heinous-sensational crimes : In the entire state of Madhya Pradesh in this year almost all the sensational incidents were exposed. Some major events: Sagar: The police arrested the accused in Sagar and Bhopal who killed 5 sleeping watchmen-blindly and arrested the accused who kidnapped and murdered a bullion trader in police station Narayawali and recovered mashruka worth more than one crore. Indore: The police succeeded in arresting the unknown accused who killed 7 people in a fire incident in Indore in a span of 12 hours. Gwalior: In broad daylight, the police revealed the robbery of 1.20 crores in 6 hours and arrested the accused and recovered the looted amount. Jabalpur: Maharashtra Bank ATM in Jabalpur succeeded in recovering approximately Rs 33 lakh looted by arresting the accused who shot and killed the guard of the bank who went to load the cash and shot and injured two cashiers and looted the cash box.
Special operations broke the back of the mafia : Anti mafia campaign (action taken in the year 2022)
The police launched an anti-mafia campaign across the state. In this, effective action was taken against land mafia, liquor mafia, mining mafia, chit fund mafia, ration mafia, adulteration mafia. Land mafia: Total 3612 cases registered, 294 crimes registered More than 5426 acres of government land was made free from illegal occupation, NSA action was taken against 44 persons and district Badar action against 97 persons. Sand mafia: 2331 crimes registered, 1676 accused arrested, 2633 four wheelers seized. Ration mafia: 391 crimes registered, 343 accused arrested, Rasuka action against 12 persons, food worth Rs 34.98 crore seized. Chit fund mafia:133 crimes registered, 39 accused arrested, Rs 26.64 cr returned to 12018 investors A total of 117 complaints sent by Reserve Bank of India / Institutional Finance and 298 complaints were received through email (Digital Loan App), on which action was taken to return the investors money and attachment of property.
Adulteration mafia: 165 crimes registered, 81 accused arrested, Rasuka against 10 persons, adulterated food worth Rs 3.85 crore seized. Liquor mafia: 1,28,698 accused were arrested in 1, 27, 454 cases by raiding illegal liquor traders. Country liquor 3,53,718 litres, foreign 2,80,727 litres, illegal raw hand furnace 5,79,711 litres, spirit/tincture 96,257 liters and a total of 1682 vehicles were seized from the accused. In the year 2022, 23 percent more cases were registered as compared to last year by taking effective action against those involved in illegal drug and liquor business. Traffic system made aware to fixed, citizens : With the aim of making common citizens aware of road safety, one day in every month is being celebrated as “Traffic Awareness Day” from the year 2022, with the active role of the officers and employees of the police department in this one-day traffic awareness day. People are being informed about traffic rules and road safety. The police organized 9,100 awareness campaigns this year.
Dial 100 became lifeline for the citizens : So far, one crore 44 lakh people have been benefited from Dial 100. In this, 13 lakh 75 thousand women were helped. In road accidents, 8 lakh 91 thousand injured were taken to the hospital. 20,632 missing children were reunited with their relatives. Stopped 1 lakh 92 thousand women and men from committing suicide and helped 1 lakh 42 thousand senior citizens. About 30 lakh kilometers are being patrolled per month by FRV vehicles. [7:03 pm, 31/12/2022] Praveen Sir: Police commissioner system in Bhopal and Indore made peace and law and order stronger : About 9500 were persons bound over in preventive actions in Bhopal. Growth of new hooligans was also stopped, where in the year 2021 about 600 new hooligans had appeared, while in the year 2022 this number remained less than half (289). Compared to last year, this year there has been 83 percent reduction in cases of attempted robbery, 11 percent reduction in extortion and 35 percent reduction in other physical crimes. 21 percent reduction in crimes per lakh population. 19 percent reduction in total crimes in the year 2022 as compared to last year. On the other hand, an effective boundary over was done against habitual criminals in Indore. In which 23384 criminals were bounded over in 107/116 CrPC and 6248 habitual criminals were bounded over. Expelled 226 habitual criminals from the district. The effective implementation of the Police Commissioner system is the result that not a single incident of dacoity took place in the year 2022 in Indore. In the year 2022, there was a decrease of about 15 percent in the cases of theft and robbery as compared to the previous year.
FSL solves the mystery of serious crimes : A total of 30,019 cases have been resolved by FSL till 30 November 2022 this year. So far this year, 5550 DNA cases have been solved by FSL. For speedy disposal of DNA cases, the testing capacity increased from 250 to more than 600 per month. DNA testing facility will be started in RFL Indore in the year 2022, at present the work of construction of new building of district Rewa, Ratlam and Jabalpur lab and FSL lab is in progress. [7:14 pm, 31/12/2022] Praveen Sir: Integrated monitoring of computer network and infrastructure and CCTNS data center established in 1110 police stations and 638 senior offices of the state is done by setting up CCTNS command and control room at State Crime Records Bureau, Police Headquarters, Bhopal. Due to which the information about crime and criminals became accessible at the police station level.
National Automated Finger Print Identification System (NAFIS) is playing an important role in catching criminals. Madhya Pradesh became the first state to identify the unknown deceased through this system and the first state to search for most unsolved cases. After signing MoU with five banks by Madhya Pradesh Police, challan action is being taken in all the districts through POS machines. Police related facilities like e-FIR, character verification, single women registration, senior citizen registration, e-missing person, stolen vehicles are being provided at citizen.mppolice.gov.in. A total of more than 4300 e-FIRs have been received so far. Issued helpline numbers for the police to reach the common man. Which includes dial 100, women helpline good number 1090, child helpline number 1098 etc.
