On 8.2.2023, a woman from Odisha was admitted in a Private hospital in Visakhapatnam. As doctors said that there is no chance of survival, her husband hired an auto to take her to Saroda(V), Koraput(D). When the auto arrived in Vizianagaram the woman passed away. As the auto driver refused to carry the dead body, the man finding no other means started walking towards his home carrying his wife’s dead body on his shoulder for the rest of the 130km. As the incident reached Vizianagaram police they responded immediately and arranged an ambulance to carry the dead body to his village. DGP Mr. K.V Rajendranath Reddy IPS commended Vizianagaram District Police for the good work done.
