Rachakonda: The TATA IPL-2023 matches to be held from 02-04-2023 to 18-05-2023 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium at Uppal. The stadium has approximately 40,000 seating capacity. In order to avoid any untoward incidents during the match day, a series of unprecedented measures were taken up at Uppal cricket stadium for the smooth run of IPL Cricket matches.
For safety and security of players and Spectators, elaborate bandobust arrangements are being made in coordination with different wings of about 1500
Police persons are deployed for bandobust. Gate No. 1 is only for players, others are not allowed. Spectators are allowed through gates as per their ticketing. In and around the stadium, a total of 340 CCTV cameras are being installed including the places at vehicle check points, parking places to cover the entire area of the stadium, en-route and parking areas
A Joint command & control room is also established to monitor all the CCTV footages for taking immediate action. (IT Inspector and teams).
Anti-sabotage checks with the help of B.D teams would continue round the clock until the match is completed. The spectators are not allowed to carry the things as follows:
Banned Items are Laptops, Banners, Water Bottles, Cameras, Cigarettes, Electronic Items Matchbox, Lighters, Sharp metal/plastic objects, Binoculars, Writing Pens Batteries, Helmets, Perfumes, Bags, outside Eatables.
A separate SHE Teams/Anti-Eve-Teasing team has been established in order to control the eve teasing against woman.
The viewers are not being allowed to park any vehicles on either sides of the main road from Genpact to Uppal ring road and Uppal Ring Road to Vishal Mart, Ramanthapur and the vehicles have parked at specified by the TSIIC parking areas only.
Gates will be opened and spectators allowed into the stadium from 3 hours before hours for day matches and 1630 hours for night matches. Adequate signage boards are erected at different places to make the viewer’s reach stadium easily. Erected sufficient signage boards at all the main roads from Habsiguda to Uppal, L.B. Nagar to Uppal, Madipally to Uppal, Ramanthapur to Stadium with proper arrow marks and text in night visible manner.
Keeping the spectators count in view, adequate measures were taken by increasing the number of ambulances from 3 to 7 to be provided for immediate medical service to spectators for fire safety, 4 fire engines are kept in the premises of stadium.
A separate vendor supervising teams are established to control the vendors and their rates as prescribed by the authorities. Vendors/hackers prohibited outside the stadium special teams are moving and they will watch on the movement of block tickets and pick up them. Metro rail authorities have extended their timings up to 0100 AM for spectators and spectators are requested to use metro services as it is a near distance to the stadium.
