Chandigarh: On the 25th of May 2023, the CTP (Chandigarh Traffic Police) organized a remarkable event at Police Station. East Chowk Sec (07/19/26/27) aimed at encouraging individuals to adopt and promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle. The event placed special emphasis on the crucial topic of reducing light signal usage, urging motor vehicle users to actively contribute to fuel conservation and minimize the emission of harmful gases and smoke that significantly impact the environment.
As part of this initiative, 20 impactful “No Honking” stickers were affixed to vehicles, serving as a visual reminder for drivers to abstain from unnecessary honking, which is a major source of noise pollution. This simple yet powerful action sought to create awareness and instill a sense of responsibility among motorists, inspiring them to make a positive change for the benefit of the environment and the overall well-being of the community.

By providing valuable information and insights into the environmental impact of motor vehicles, the literature aimed to raise awareness and encourage people to make conscious choices that would help mitigate pollution and preserve the planet for future generations.
