Dindigul: In 2021, a case was filed by the Dindigul Nagar North Police Department against Nirmalraj, also known as Anil Kumar, and Gopal for breaking into Manimaran’s house in the Dindigul Thirunagar area. The accused stole 13 pounds of gold jewelry and set the house on fire. The case was presented in the Chief Criminal Court of Dindigul. However, on the direction of S.P. Mr. Bhaskaran IPS, the Dindigul District Superintendent of Police, the diligent efforts of Inspector Ulaganathan from Nagar North Police Station and the public prosecutor led to a significant development. On July 10, 2023, Chief Criminal Justice Judge Ms. Mohana sentenced Nirmalraj alias Anil Kumar to 21 years of imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs.3000. Gopal, on the other hand, received a 3-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs.1000.
