Kakinada: Every Tuesday at 11 am, the District Police Office holds a special program called “Dial Your SP,” which is organized by the Superintendent of Police (SP) himself. The primary objective of this program is to establish direct communication between the police department and the public, enabling citizens to voice their grievances and seek assistance from the authorities.
During the most recent session of the “Dial Your SP” program, which took place from 11 am to 12 pm today, a total of 15 individuals contacted the office to share their problems and concerns. The program offers a unique platform for citizens to reach out to the police and discuss their issues with the assurance that they will be attended to by the relevant authorities.
Under the “Dial Your SP” initiative, concerned police officers from various divisions within the district police office take on the responsibility of coordinating with each caller individually. They strive to inquire about the problems in great detail, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the issues faced by the complainants. Moreover, the police officers are committed to resolving the problems within a specified time frame, demonstrating a strong dedication to public service.
Since the program’s launch four weeks ago, it has garnered a significant response from the public, receiving a total of 65 complaints over this period. The overwhelming participation reflects the success of the initiative in fostering transparency, accessibility, and accountability within the local law enforcement system.
An encouraging aspect of the program is that it has already yielded positive outcomes for a considerable number of complainants. Out of the 65 complaints received in the last four weeks, a remarkable 36 issues have been effectively resolved by the officials of the concerned police stations. This indicates the program’s efficacy in facilitating efficient and timely solutions to the problems faced by the public.
Overall, the “Dial Your SP” program has proven to be an invaluable platform for citizens to interact with the police department directly, ensuring their voices are heard, and their issues are promptly addressed. It exemplifies a commendable effort by the Superintendent of Police and the entire district police office to strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the community they serve.
