Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu: In a heartbreaking incident, a young couple from Panagudi, Tirunelveli district, who were reportedly in a relationship, were found dead in an abandoned house in the area.
Abhinaya (16), a Class 10 student from Sarvodaya Street, and Marisiva (21), a local painter, are said to have developed a relationship through social media. According to police reports, Abhinaya left her home on the night of July 20 after facing opposition from her family. Her parents lodged a missing person complaint at the Valliyur All Women Police Station, following which a case was registered.
Simultaneously, Marisiva was also reported missing by his father, who filed a complaint at the Panagudi Police Station. Separate investigations were launched under the supervision of Inspector Rajaram and the All Women Police team.
Tragically, both were found deceased in an abandoned house on South Road, Panagudi. The police recovered the bodies and sent them to Asaripallam Government Medical College Hospital, Nagercoil, for post-mortem examination.
Authorities are continuing the investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
