About 4-5 lakh devotees are likely to come on the day of Garuda Seva. On other days, around 1L devotees are expected to come.
Strict security arrangements were made for Srivari Brahmotsavam with 3782 police personnel. In Ist. phase with 2622 personnel & additional 1160 personnel will carry out security duties on Garuda Seva day.
Two-wheelers are not allowed in Tirumala on the day of Garuda Seva & on 21st it will not be allowed from 12 noon onwards.
There is constant surveillance of suspected persons with CCTV cameras.
32 parking lots have been identified & have taken steps to allow parking of about 15000 vehicles.
Tourist buses & vehicles not permitted to Tirumala (tempo travel with higher seating capacity) should use the Devalok parking area on Zoo Park Road.
Alipiri Link Bus Stand, Old Check Point, ISKCON Ground, Medical College Ground, Nehru Municipal Ground will be arranged for two-wheeler parking on Garuda Seva day.
The special party police will screen the 2 ghat roads & all the surrounding areas of Tirumala.
The bomb squad & dog squad will check the ghat roads & the surrounding areas of Tirumala intensively.
These inspections will be done continuously till the end of Brahmotsavam.
Octopus staff also work with special surveillance in Tirumala.
Adequate precautions have been taken to prevent the stampede of devotees who have reached the galleries to watch the Brahmotsavams in the four Madavedhis of Tirumala.
Adequate staff will be appointed at the entry point & exit points & strict measures will be taken.
Devotees will be allowed to enter the galleries on the day of Garuda Seva at the time fixed by TTD.
The entire Tirumala will be under the control of the police & with CCTV cameras & will be monitored through the command control room & alert the staff from time to time.
Wherever there is an increase in traffic, those areas will be immediately identified & appropriate action will be taken.
Especially for the convenience of devotees, 10 police sub-control rooms have been set up.
Geo-tagging has been set up to avoid missing of small children, insane & elderly persons.
220 crime party officers have been appointed to control crime.
Crime spots like chain snatching, zip opening & bag lifting have already been identified in many places in Tirumala. Advanced technology will be used to identify the fingerprints & face of the person.
Personnel from districts & other states are being used for the security arrangements who are able to identify old criminals.
