Vijayawada: City Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata I.P.S., along with District Collector Mr. Dilli Rao IAS and other officials, conducted an inspection of key locations including Ammavari Temple, Durga Ghat, Swati Center, Bhavanighat, and Kummaripalem Center, as well as assessed queue arrangements and parking facilities. They provided valuable suggestions for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Sri Durgamaleshwara Swamy Varla Dasara Sharannavaratri Mahotsavam, scheduled to commence on 15.10.2023.
The Commissioner emphasized the stringent security measures that will be put in place at bathing ghats, parking areas, and prasadam counters, in close coordination with various departments. The primary aim of these arrangements is to ensure that devotees can have a peaceful and secure darshan of the deity during the festivities. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including District Collector Shri Dilli Rao I.A.S., East Jos DCP Shri Vishal Guni I.P.S., Temple E.O. Mr. Bhramaramba, Traffic A.D.C.P. Free D. Prasad, West A.C.P. Dr. K. Hanumantha Rao, Traffic A.C.P. Mr. Ramachandra Rao, South A.C.P. Dr. B. Ravikiran, along with police officers, district officials, temple authorities, and personnel from various departments.
