Vijayawada : Deputy Police Commissioner Vishal Gunni IPS supervised the security arrangements for the visit of the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh during the auspicious occasion of Shri Durga Malleswara Swamy Dussehra Mahotsavam, which commenced on October 15, 2023, culminating on October 20, 2023, coinciding with the Moola Nakshatra day when Goddess Saraswati is anticipated to manifest. On this day, an estimated one to two lakh devotees will have the opportunity to witness the divine presence of Goddess Saraswati. Chief Minister Mr. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will be presenting silk clothes to the deity on behalf of the state government. Acting on the directives of City Police Commissioner Kanti Rana Tata IPS, Deputy Police Commissioner Vishal Gunni IPS conducted an assessment on October 19, 2023, inspecting the temple premises and its vicinity, including parking facilities, to ensure seamless law and order enforcement and traffic management. He also issued clear instructions to all personnel to execute their duties with utmost diligence, leaving no room for any safety oversights.
Deputy Police Commissioner Mr. Vishal Gunni IPS emphasized the significance of tomorrow, October 20, 2023, when the Chief Minister will present silk clothes on behalf of the Moola Nakshatra and the Andhra Pradesh State Government. In line with City Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata IPS’s directives, robust security measures have been put in place, in close collaboration with relevant departments, to preempt any untoward incidents in the temple and its surroundings. It has been assured that comprehensive traffic management plans have been implemented to ensure a smooth and incident-free experience for all attendees. The program was attended by various officials including Joint Collector Mr. Sampath Kumar IAS, DCPs Mr. ABTS Udayarani IPS, Mr. B. Ramakrishna, Sub Collector Shri Aditi Singh IAS, ADCPs CH Lakshmipathy, D. Prasad, K. Srinivasa Rao, Temple E.O. K.S. Rama Rao, ACPs, inspectors, and personnel from other departments.
