Hyderabad: In Hyderabad, the Crime Team of the Bahadurpura Police Station apprehended two habitual offenders on 11th January 2024. These individuals had been on the run since January 1st, 2024, and were implicated in various property offenses within the jurisdictions of Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerates. Among their recent criminal activities, they committed a robbery against Mr. Mohammed Yakoob on January 1st, 2024, near Kishanbagh Park, Bahadurpura, Hyderabad, where they used a knife to threaten and assault him.
The identified suspects are:
- Mohammed Khaja Zainulabedin, also known as Chore Khaja, aged 28, residing in Bahadurpura, Hyderabad (arrested and remanded on January 2nd, 2024).
- Mohammed Mubeen, aged 28, residing in Rajendranagar.
- Azam Khan, aged 28, residing in Rajendranagar.
The police seized a steel knife and a net cash amount of Rs. 1000 from the possession of the accused. The criminal history of the suspects revealed their involvement in multiple cases, including snatching, theft, Arms Act violations, and drug-related offenses.
Modus operandi: The accused individuals operated both during the night and day, targeting unsuspecting individuals, especially those appearing vulnerable. Using a knife, they would rob their victims and resort to violence if faced with resistance. Their criminal activities spanned across the Hyderabad and Cyberabad Commissionerate areas.
The arrest operation was conducted under the supervision of Mr. A. Sudhakar, ACP Falaknuma, led by Mr. D. Anil Kumar, Inspector of Police, with the support of Mr. N. Srishylam, Detective Inspector, Sub Inspector Mr. A. Srikanth, and the Crime Team of Bahadurpura Police Station.
