Anantapur: District SP KKN Anburajan IPS convened a coordination meeting at the local police conference hall on Thursday, bringing together officials from various departments, including police, SEB, Excise, RTA, Vigilance Enforcement, and the Forest Department. During the meeting, he emphasized the need for seamless collaboration among departments to ensure the upcoming general elections proceed peacefully. Anburajan outlined pre-planned measures, such as coordinating static and dynamic check posts, eliminating belt shops in the district, preventing illegal movements of cash and gold jewelry, seizing NDPL and DPL as per regulations, and promptly disposing of seized items.
He stressed the importance of registering cases and making arrests in accordance with the law, urging the avoidance of dropping original kingpins along with evacuees. The directive included seizing items like FJ Wash, ID Liquor, and Marijuana and identifying individuals eligible for the PD Act. Anburajan also highlighted precautions for cash seizure and subsequent procedures, while prohibiting illegal transportation of sand, mud, and forest department-regulated materials.
