Kullu: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) recently conducted a thorough search operation at the premises of a Sub Post Master located in Kullu. The investigation resulted in the seizure of approximately Rs 2 lakh in cash, along with several crucial documents that could serve as evidence in the case.
This action stems from a case registered by the CBI against the said Sub Post Master, who was stationed at the Sultanpur Sub Post Office in Kullu district, Himachal Pradesh. The allegations against the Sub Post Master revolve around the misappropriation of significant amounts of government funds entrusted to her care. It is purported that between the months of August 2023 and January 2024, an astonishing sum of approximately Rs.36, 30,125 was unlawfully diverted.
Furthermore, the accused is also suspected of fabricating false Daily Transactions Reports to cover up the misappropriation. This intricate web of deceit suggests a calculated attempt to manipulate records and deceive authorities.
The CBI’s intervention underscores the seriousness of the allegations and the commitment to upholding the integrity of public funds.
