Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have issued an advisory for commuters navigating around Hebbal Circle, as the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) is set to commence metro-related activities at the Hebbal-Kodigehalli junction. Commuters are urged to seek alternative routes to evade potential traffic congestion.
In their announcement, the Bengaluru Traffic Police stated, “Starting May 10, BMRCL will be aligning tracks to metro pillars along the Kodigehalli-Hebbal Circle stretch. Movement of all vehicles from Kodigehalli junction to Esteem Mall on the service road will be restricted from 11:00 PM to 05:00 AM.”
Commuters are advised to utilize Ranna Road for access to Esteem Mall. “Road users are recommended to reach Pampa Extension Road via Dasarahalli Main Road, proceed through Ranna Road, and access Esteem Mall via Kempapur Main Road. Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) are directed to use the route at Vidyashilpa junction,” the announcement continued.
Furthermore, the Bengaluru Traffic Police announced the closure of entry to the service road near the Nagawara flyover up ramp starting Friday, aimed at facilitating smoother traffic flow on the Outer Ring Road.
The Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has initiated the construction of two new lanes for the Hebbal flyover, with several diversions already implemented since the previous month. The K.R. Puram ramp near the Hebbal flyover has been dismantled to facilitate the construction of new lanes on the flyover.
