Medchal-Malkajgiri, Telangana: On the occasion of Police Commemoration Day, solemn tributes were paid to police martyrs at the Malkajgiri CAR Headquarters. The event, held to honor the service and ultimate sacrifice of police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty for the nation, was attended by Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B. Sumathi, IPS, along with other senior officials and police staff. As a fitting tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs, a blood donation drive was organized. Police personnel voluntarily donated blood, fulfilling their responsibility to help save the lives of those in need. The initiative conveyed the message that donating blood is akin to gifting life, as a single unit of blood can be instrumental in saving someone during an emergency. Officials remarked that the sacrifices of the police martyrs—who performed their duties with utter disregard for their own lives to ensure national security and public safety—will always be remembered. They lauded the martyrs’ courage, dedication, and selfless service, noting that these qualities remain a constant source of inspiration for society. Participants were urged to uphold the ideals of the martyrs by remaining at the forefront of public service and working toward the well-being of society with a spirit of dedication.
