<![CDATA[Thane: The Thane Crime branch has arrested four persons for allegedly printing and providing a bogus Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) of Panama government to persons aspiring for jobs on merchant vessels. Police revealed that over 400 seaman are sailing in the international waters on bogus CDC — an important mandatory document which is a seafarer's identity. According to Thane Crime branch, since the past six years, Dinesh Raudhal, 29, a resident of Karjat was printing the CDC of Panama government and was providing it to the agents. Raudhal is HSC passout and has completed his diploma in printing process. Raudhal printed replicas of CDC which is provided by the Panama government. The CDC was also stamped illegally by the involved accused and many innocent persons have been cheated. Most of the CDC belonged to residents of Kerala and were charged Rs 1 to 4 lakhs by the agents. Police have also arrested three agents Abdulla Hakim,42, Vijayan Pillai,55 and Allim Mussa,60. The Trio were running an employment placement agency in Bhandup.]]>
