Thrissur Rural: Abhishek, son of Shaikor residing at Chullikattil House, Parumbatanna North Paravoor, Ernakulam, has been arrested in connection with a string of thefts spanning Ernakulam and Thrissur districts. The teenager was apprehended by police following an intensive investigation. The accused was part of a gang that employed a meticulous modus operandi: they would use hired vehicles such as Uber, parking about a kilometer away from their target locations to avoid suspicion. From there, they proceeded on foot to break into small shops, utilizing tools to forcibly open shutters and pilfer money and valuables.
The arrest followed a pivotal breakthrough when a passerby witnessed Abhishek near the scene of a burglary at Meenakshi bakery shop in Vasu Devavilasam, prompting a police report. Subsequently, a dedicated team led by Thrissur District Police Chief Mr. Navneet Sharma IPS, under the supervision of Kodungallur DYSP VK Raju and guided by Mathilakam CI Shaji, undertook an extensive investigation. The team, comprised of Mathilakam SI Francis PJ, Special Branch SI Ashraf, and members of the Kodungallur Dysp Squad including Mithun R Krishna, Saifudeen PK, and Jamal, utilized advanced forensic techniques to gather crucial evidence leading to the suspect’s apprehension.
This operation underscores the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies across districts, employing modern investigative methods to ensure accountability and justice in cases of organized crime.
