Tripura: In a meticulously coordinated and determined operation to counter trans-border smuggling along the Indo-Bangladesh Border, the Border Security Force (BSF) units deployed in Tripura achieved significant success. The operation resulted in the rescue of 12 cattle that were being illegally transported across the border. Additionally, the BSF seized an impressive 1,300 kilograms of Hilsa fish, renowned for its high market value, alongside a substantial quantity of sugar and various other contraband items. The total value of the seized goods was estimated to be Rs.30,91,480. This comprehensive action not only highlights the BSF’s commitment to disrupting illegal smuggling networks but also reinforces their crucial role in safeguarding national security and border integrity.
