<![CDATA[HYDERABAD: Ten Delhi-based Nigerians were arrested for duping a nurse from the city of Rs 9.37 lakh on the pretext of processing papers of a gift from her `friend'. Cyber Crime wing of Rachakonda police also seized eight laptops, 35 SIM cards and 26 mobile phones from their possession. Rachakonda police said the arrested persons--William, ISIC Prince, Chukwuma Christopher, Eghosa Gobieit, IjeomaOnyesom, Emmanuel Okafor, ChimaIweriebor,Tochukwu, Chidi JohnsonAnaso Johnson, Paul IfechukwuIfanyiIfanyi--were brought to the city on transit warrant. The 36-year-old nurse received a friend request on her Facebook from one Agustin William in November 2016.She accepted the request.The man claimed he was a resident of London Derry, Northern Ireland, and a pastor in a local church. The two were touch for about three months on Facebook. One day , he informed her that he was sending her $50,000, an iPhone and gold, and pearls. On March 15, 2017, she received a phone call and the caller claimed he was a customs officer from Delhi Airport. The victim, over a period of time, was asked to deposit Rs 9.37 lakh for processing her gift.]]>
