Chikkamagaluru: On June 10, 2019, the 2nd Additional District and Sessions Court in Chikkamagaluru District delivered a significant verdict in a case of fatal assault. The accused, Sachin, was found guilty of assaulting an individual with a stick with the intent to kill in Hemmakki village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kalasa police station in Chikkamagaluru District. The court sentenced him to six years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of ₹25,000. The incident, which resulted in the tragic death of the victim, was a high-profile case that garnered substantial attention in the local community.
