Rachakonda: Grand Bathukamma celebrations were held at the Rachakonda Commissionerate Headquarters in Amberpet, with a special gift for female police officers—new restrooms set up at the Amberpet headquarters as part of the Dussehra festivities.
The Bathukamma celebrations, organized by the Rachakonda Women Police, took place at the CAR Headquarters in Amberpet today. Rachakonda CP Sri Sudhir Babu IPS, who was the chief guest, inaugurated the event by lighting the Jyoti. Speaking on the occasion, CP Sudhir Babu highlighted that Bathukamma is a festival of pride for every woman in Telangana, and noted that Dussehra and Bathukamma hold significant cultural importance in the Telugu states.
The Commissioner expressed appreciation for the female police officers, recognizing their contributions in celebrating their traditions in a joyful and supportive environment each year. He emphasized that Rachakonda Commissionerate is committed to creating a positive work environment for its women officers and prioritizes their welfare. As a Dussehra gift, special restrooms with good facilities have been arranged, with ₹17.17 lakh sanctioned from the Rachakonda Welfare Fund for this purpose. Additionally, ₹75,000 has been allocated for setting up a canteen at the Bhuvanagiri CAR Headquarters for police personnel.
CP Sudhir Babu also mentioned that elaborate preparations have been made in Amberpet to celebrate the festival cherished by the women police officers, who work tirelessly to maintain law and order. He reassured that Bathukamma celebrations in the Rachakonda region are held on a grand scale every year, with security measures in place to ensure public safety and smooth festivities. The Commissioner reiterated his commitment to empowering the Rachakonda Police to deliver better public services and enhance crime control.
The event was attended by DCP Padmaja IPS, DCP Praveen Kumar IPS, DCP Sunitha Reddy, Admin DCP Indira, DCP Muralidhar, DCP Ramana Reddy, Additional DCP Shyam Sundar, Police Association President CH Chandra Reddy, Krishna Reddy, other officers, and women police personnel.
