Telangana, Rachakonda: Acting on technical evidence and specific information, the Kandukur Police, Maheswaram Zone, Rachakonda Commissionerate, solved a double murder case along with another murder, arresting the suspect involved in both incidents.
The accused, identified as Uppula Shiva Kumar, was apprehended in connection with the murders. The victims in the double murder case were an elderly couple, Mooga Ushaiah and his wife, Shanthamma, who were employed as farm workers. Their bodies were found in a mango orchard, with signs of brutal injuries.
In another case, the victim was identified as Smt. Chenchu Shailaja Reddy, who was found dead at her farmhouse, with injuries inflicted by a sharp weapon.
Following a complaint and initial investigation, several teams, including SOT, IT Cell, and Clues Team, were formed under the guidance of CP Rachakonda. Based on suspicious behavior, the accused was detained and questioned. During interrogation, he confessed to both crimes, revealing details about the murder weapons, which were later recovered.
Further analysis of fingerprints matched the accused to both crime scenes, confirming his involvement. The police’s swift action, led by Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu, I.P.S., and the coordinated efforts of the investigating teams, resulted in the detection of these heinous crimes. The accused was arrested, and the team’s good work was highly commended.
