Telangana, Rachakonda: On the occasion of Police Martyrs’ Day, Rachakonda CP Mr. Sudhir Babu IPS paid floral tributes at the Police Martyrs Memorial Stupa and to the portraits of Police Martyrs at CAR Headquarters, Amberpet, on 21st October.
In his address, he highlighted that thousands of policemen across the country have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. The Police Commemoration Day is observed nationwide to honor the memory of the ten CRPF jawans who were killed in a surprise attack by Chinese forces at Hot Springs in Ladakh on 21st October, 1959. He also reminded that every year, Remembrance Day is observed as Police Flag Day.
CP Sudhir Babu emphasized that countless police officers have dedicated their lives to maintaining peace across the nation. He mentioned that for the well-being of Rachakonda police personnel, special medical camps, health check-ups for police and their families, and other welfare initiatives have been organized.
From October 21 to 27, 2023, various events will be held across the Rachakonda Commissionerate to mark Police Flag Day, including blood donation camps, essay competitions, online open house events, photography, short film competitions, and more. The CP encouraged students and citizens to actively participate in these programs.
The event was attended by 10 family members of martyrs from the Yadadri zone of Nalgonda district and three from the Ibrahimpatnam division. CP Sudhir Babu expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs, met with them, and inquired about their well-being. He urged people to honor the supreme sacrifices made by police personnel and to cooperate in maintaining a crime-free society. He also encouraged Rachakonda police personnel to work with dedication in upholding peace and security in the spirit of police martyrs.
The event was attended by several senior officers, including Yadadri DCP Rajesh Chandra IPS, Malkajgiri DCP Padmaja IPS, LB Nagar DCP Praveen Kumar IPS, DCP Admin Indira, DCP Crimes Arvind Babu, SHE Team DCP Usha Vishwa, Traffic DCPs Manohar and Srinivasulu, STT DCP Murali Dhar, Additional DCPs, and Presidents of the Police Officers Association C. H. Bhadra Reddy and Krishna Reddy, along with others.
