Telangana, Hyderabad City: Acting on reliable information from the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW), the Kanchanbagh Police, in a joint operation with HNEW, apprehended an interstate drug supplier and two local drug peddlers. The seizure included 80 grams of MDMA, 10 LSD blots, three mobile phones, one weighing machine, and various packaging materials. The arrests were made under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
The accused is primary interstate drug supplier, a resident of Bangalore originally from Kerala, along with two local drug peddlers, was detained. One of the local peddlers has prior involvement in narcotics-related cases. The accused have been operating through contacts with both international and local suppliers and transporting drugs from Bangalore to Hyderabad, primarily using road routes.
The investigation revealed that one of the accused had struggled with personal and financial issues, leading to involvement in drug trafficking as a means of easy income. Using WhatsApp for communication and cash on delivery for payments, the accused acquired drugs from contacts in Bangalore and distributed them in Hyderabad at high profit margins.
