Kerala, Kasaragod: Abdul Rauf, also known as Meesha Rauf, a notorious thief, was apprehended by the Manjeswaram police with a stolen bike. The bike, which had been stolen from Uppala, was recovered from his possession. Rauf, who was implicated in multiple theft cases under the jurisdictions of Kasaragod, Kumbala Vidyanagar, and Manjeswaram police stations, had been evading arrest while hiding in Maharashtra, Delhi, and Karnataka. Acting on intelligence reports that he was secretly residing in a quarters at Mogral, Kasaragod, the police conducted a raid and detained him.
The suspect is currently undergoing detailed interrogation. His arrest was executed by a special squad assembled on the orders of District Police Chief Shilpa DIPS. The operation was led by Kasaragod DySP Sunil Kumar CK, with Manjeswaram Inspector Anub Kumar, Sub-Inspectors Ratheesh Gopi and Umesh, and officers SCPO Pramod, CPO Ashwanth Kumar, Vijayan, Pranav, and Abdul Shukkur.
