Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: On the night of March 4, 2025, a Special Assistant Inspector of Police, Crime Branch, Melapalayam, discovered an unclaimed laptop and a bag containing Rs.1,42,396 at Madasamy Bus Stand in Tirunelveli City while on patrol at the new bus stand. He promptly handed them over to Melapalayam Police Station.
On March 5, 2025, the rightful owner, Pechimuthu Pandian from Veeranam, Tenkasi District, personally reclaimed his belongings at the office of the Commissioner of Police. Expressing his gratitude, he thanked the police department for their honesty and efficiency.
