Punjab, Bathinda: In anticipation of the grand Hola Mohalla festival, Special DGP (Law & Order), Punjab, presided over a high-level review meeting at Shri Anandpur Sahib to assess and fine-tune the preparations for the event. The meeting witnessed the active participation of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rupnagar, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rupnagar, and other senior officials from the civil and police administration.
During the meeting, a meticulous review of security arrangements, crowd management strategies, traffic control measures, emergency response mechanisms, and other logistical aspects was conducted. The officials provided detailed feedback on the current state of preparedness, highlighting key areas that required further strengthening to ensure seamless execution of safety protocols.
The Special DGP emphasized the need for a coordinated approach among various administrative and law enforcement agencies to uphold law and order throughout the festival. Special attention was given to deploying adequate police personnel, setting up surveillance systems, managing vehicular movement, and establishing rapid response teams to swiftly handle any unforeseen situations.
Furthermore, instructions were issued to maintain continuous monitoring through CCTV surveillance, implement strategic checkpoints, and ensure smooth facilitation for pilgrims and visitors attending the festival in large numbers. The authorities were also directed to establish medical aid stations, deploy fire safety units, and arrange for disaster management resources to address any emergencies promptly.
