Chhattisgarh, Sukma: Under the ongoing Naxal eradication campaign, the increasing vigilance and proactive operations of the police have led to a significant breakthrough in Sukma District. A total of nine Naxalites, who had been actively involved in various Naxal organizations and carried a cumulative bounty of Rs.26 lakh on their heads, have voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. Their decision to abandon the path of violence is seen as a major step towards restoring peace and stability in the region. Law enforcement officials have attributed this surrender to the sustained efforts of security forces, awareness campaigns, and rehabilitation initiatives aimed at encouraging Naxal cadres to reintegrate into mainstream society.
