Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: Firefighters’ Memorial Day was solemnly observed in Tirunelveli to honor the memory of firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.
Led by Zonal Fire and Rescue Deputy Director Saravana Babu and District Fire Officer Bhanupriya, personnel gathered at the Tirunelveli District Fire Office, where a memorial stupa had been specially adorned for the occasion. A floral wreath was laid in tribute to the fallen heroes.
As a mark of respect, a two-minute silence was observed, commemorating the courage and service of firefighters who lost their lives while safeguarding others.
