Uttarakhand, Chamoli: In a proactive move to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims during the upcoming Chardham Yatra, the Chamoli District Police, under the leadership of Inspector Rakesh Bhatt (In-Charge, Kotwali Karnaprayag), organized a seminar with key stakeholders from the transport sector.
The seminar, attended by members of the Taxi/Maxi Union, local drivers, and vehicle owners, focused on essential traffic and passenger safety protocols. Inspector Bhatt issued comprehensive guidelines aimed at smooth traffic flow and accident prevention during the pilgrimage season.
The instructions included strict adherence to vehicle capacity limits, prohibition of driving under the influence of alcohol, mandatory parking at designated taxi stands, advance fare collection before town entry, and the complete avoidance of private vehicle parking on main roads.
This initiative highlights the commitment of Chamoli Police to maintaining law, order, and public safety during one of the most significant religious events in the region. The timely intervention and awareness efforts are expected to play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and secure yatra for thousands of devotees.
