Kerala, Kottayam – April 29: In connection with the fourth anniversary celebrations of the Kerala State Government, the Kottayam Police has made special parking arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience during the event.
To streamline vehicle movement and reduce congestion around Nehru Stadium, where the main celebrations are taking place, designated drop-off and parking zones have been announced for vehicles coming from different parts of the district:
From Pala, Poonjar, Vaikom, Thalayolaparambu & Kaduthuruthy:
Vehicles must drop passengers near the roundabout close to Nehru Stadium and proceed to park along the Kodimatha and Manippuzha bypass roads.
From Ettumanoor:
Parking is arranged at the Nagambadam SNDP Temple ground and along SH Mount Road.
From Kanjirappally:
Vehicles should park at the Nagambadam Swarghees Varghese Parking Ground.
From Changanassery:
Parking is allowed from one side of the Police Parade Ground up to the Kanjikuzhy Municipal Ground.
From Vazhoor, Puthuppally & Ayarkunnam:
Vehicles should be parked in and around the CMS College Ground.
From Kottayam Town Area:
Parking is permitted at the Old Bus Stand Ground and along Karappuzha Road.
The Kottayam Police have urged the public to follow the designated parking zones to ensure smooth conduct of the event and avoid traffic disruptions. Adequate signage and traffic personnel will be deployed to guide the vehicles accordingly.
