Haryana, Fatehabad, April 29: In a proactive move to enhance public safety, Superintendent of Police Shri Siddhant Jain has issued a strong appeal to the residents of Fatehabad district to immediately verify tenants and domestic workers, especially those hailing from outside the region. This initiative aims to curb anti-social activities and strengthen local security.
A police spokesperson emphasized that some criminals exploit the lack of verification by renting properties, committing crimes, and fleeing, leaving no trace behind for landlords or law enforcement. To address this challenge, the SP has directed all citizens to submit tenant verification forms at their nearest police stations without delay.
The Superintendent highlighted that periodic verification campaigns are carried out by the police, and urged the public to cooperate. “Verification helps us identify individuals with criminal backgrounds or intentions. It’s a simple step that significantly enhances public safety,” he said.
In addition, all businesses, factories, contractors, dhabas, restaurants, and industrial units have been instructed to employ migrant workers only after proper police verification. The verified details, including Aadhaar cards of local staff, must be submitted to the concerned police station.
The police department maintains comprehensive registers of verified individuals, including photographs and identity proofs, at each police station. This process has already proven effective in several instances, allowing for quick and accurate identification of suspects when incidents occur.
SP Siddhant Jain warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who fail to comply with verification requirements. He appealed to the public to treat this as a collective responsibility to ensure the safety of the community.
