Mysuru City, Karnataka, May 14, 2025: As part of the city’s ongoing commitment to proactive policing and public safety, officers and personnel from the Vijayanagar Sub-Division reported for “Good Morning Duty” today and carried out a series of coordinated early morning security operations across their respective police station limits.
During this duty, police teams conducted rigorous checks and maintained heightened vigilance at strategic locations including check posts, religious places (temples, churches, and mosques), ATMs, banks, and public gathering points. Their presence was aimed at deterring potential criminal activity and reassuring the public of a safe and secure environment.
In addition to the security checks, officers also engaged with citizens visiting local parks during early hours. They raised awareness about common crimes such as chain snatching and cyber frauds, advising people—especially women and senior citizens—to stay alert and report suspicious activities immediately.
The “Good Morning Duty” initiative, under the leadership of Mysuru City Police, is part of a broader strategy to ensure round-the-clock public safety, promote community interaction, and encourage crime prevention through awareness.
Officials emphasized that such duties not only enhance security preparedness but also help build trust between police and the public—a vital element in fostering a safer Mysuru.
