Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, May 14, 2025: A new chapter in welfare infrastructure for police personnel was marked today with the inauguration of the newly constructed Police Subsidiary Canteen building at Bar Line Road, Chikkamagaluru City.
The inaugural ceremony was conducted by Sri Amit Singh, IPS, Hon’ble Inspector General of Police, Western Range, Mangaluru. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Vikram Amate, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Chikkamagaluru, along with senior officers, staff, and families from the police department.
The upgraded canteen facility aims to provide improved amenities and essential goods to police personnel and their families at subsidized rates, enhancing their day-to-day welfare and convenience.
As a mark of recognition, letters of appreciation were awarded to the dedicated police staff who played an active role in supporting and completing the renovation and development of the canteen.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Amit Singh commended the efforts of the district police and emphasized the importance of welfare initiatives that contribute to the well-being and morale of the police force.
The event concluded with a tour of the facility and a renewed commitment to continue enhancing support services for police personnel across the district.
