Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, May 22, 2025: In a swift and efficient operation, Gangaikondan Police successfully solved a robbery case within hours, arresting four suspects, including three juveniles, involved in a snatching incident.
The case unfolded when Nagaraj (47), a resident of Kalaignar Colony, Gangaikondan, was targeted by a group of four individuals on a two-wheeler. The accused intimidated the victim and fled with his mobile phone and ₹2,000 in cash.
Acting on the complaint filed by the victim at Gangaikondan Police Station, a special investigation team led by Inspector Velgani quickly launched a probe. Through diligent inquiry and local intelligence gathering, police identified and apprehended all four accused within a short span.
The arrested individuals include three juveniles, and appropriate legal procedures under the Juvenile Justice Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code are being followed. The stolen items are being recovered and further investigation is ongoing to verify if the group is linked to other incidents.
The Tirunelveli District Police continue to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining law and order and safeguarding citizens from criminal elements.
