Speaking during the inspection, SP Sandesh highlighted the importance of modernizing police weaponry in line with emerging security challenges. He emphasized that such sophisticated arms would greatly aid the force in maintaining law and order, handling high-risk operations, and improving response readiness against organised crime and terrorism.
“Equipping our personnel with such modern weapons ensures both better preparedness and enhanced safety in critical situations,” the SP noted.
The inspection also included a demonstration of the rifle’s precision, handling, and safety features by trained personnel. Officers expressed confidence that the new addition will bolster their operational strength in sensitive and border-adjacent areas of the district.
